The successful candidate will be responsible for characterizing and analyzing phenolic compounds extracted from various sources. The primary focus will be to assess total phenolic content, anthocyanins, and antioxidant activity of the extracts using advanced analytical techniques such as UV/VIS spectrophotometry, HPLC, UPLC, and other methods. A strong understanding of the entire analytical process—from sample injection to result interpretation—is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Phenolic Content Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of phenolic compounds in plant extracts to determine total phenolic content, anthocyanins, and antioxidant properties and conduct various analytical tests (UV/VIS spectrophotometry, HPLC/UPLC, etc.) to quantify and characterize phenolic compounds.
  • Method Development & Optimization: Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methodologies for the quantification of phenolic compounds and other bioactive ingredients.
  • Quality Control: Contribute to the creation of quality assurance protocols for raw material analysis and product consistency. Oversee validation and qualification processes to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Research & Innovation: Explore new applications of phenolic compounds and their potential health benefits, contributing to the company’s innovation pipeline.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical analysis, with a focus on phenolic compounds, antioxidants, or natural product analysis.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques such as UV/VIS spectrophotometry, HPLC, Raman spectroscopy, 1H-NMR, and other modern analytical instruments.
  • Strong background in interpreting chromatographic data, performing compound identification, and conducting bioactivity assays (e.g., antioxidant activity).
  • Proven experience in method development, optimization, and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC, UPLC, GC, or LC-MS.
  • Practical knowledge of phenolic compound extraction techniques, bioactivity testing, and dissolution testing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance within the analytical chemistry industry.

In this critical role, the Quality Control Specialist will ensure the consistency, safety, and quality of our products, adhering to both regulatory requirements and customer expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting testing, inspection, and analysis to verify that all products meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and protocols to ensure consistent product quality and compliance.
  • Perform regular inspections of raw materials, production processes, and final products to detect and address quality issues.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices, such as ISO, HACCP, and GMP guidelines.
  • Analyze laboratory test data to identify trends or deviations, and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformances, ensuring a timely resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in food production, nutraceuticals, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, chemical testing, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with polyphenol extraction processes and the use of agricultural by-products is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret laboratory results and process data.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in quality control software and related tools.

In this role, you will play a key role in identifying potential customers, securing off-take agreements during the project’s early stages, and building long-term relationships with off-takers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Build a client base from the ground up, leveraging existing connections in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries to enhance outreach.
  • Sales Presentations: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of our offerings.
  • Market Evaluation: Conduct market research through discussions with potential clients to identify trends, customer needs, pricing and the competitive landscape.
  • Client Engagement: Secure off-take agreements with potential clients while fostering strong relationships to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and relationship-building efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of the polyphenols, nutraceuticals, or chemical sectors, including market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Relevant experience in sales, particularly in polyphenols, chemicals, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals, especially in startup environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport with clients.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong focus on achieving objectives.
